China, world heritage.

China is the country with the oldest civilization of the world, has a large amount of historical attractions to offer, and provides us with an excellent tourism experience. We can visit places such as the famous Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army.

China is also, after Italy, the country with the most World Heritage sites by UNESCO. Here are some sites that should be visited.

Great Wall: Built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 16 century to protect the Northern border of the Chinese empire from the attacks of the nomadic tribes of the north in the V century extends for approximately 7,000Km

Potala Palace: The Potala palace or temple of Lhasa is the maximum expression of the tibetan architecture and residence of the Dalai Lama.

Tiananmen Square: It was built and designed within the urban plan of the capital of China, with the creation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, becoming a symbol of the new China, is one of the largest in the world, with 880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, with an area Total of 440000 square meters.

 

The Forbidden city: The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the center of Beijing, China, and now houses the Museum of the Palace,is the world’s largest palace which covers 72 hectares.

Summer Palace: The Summer Palace is a park located about 12 km from the center of Beijing in the People’s Republic of China. Since the year 1998 is considered as World Heritage of Humanity by Unesco.

Xian: World famous because in its proximities are found the terracotta warriors of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Xi’an is considered to be the eastern end of the Silk Route.

Temple of Heaven: It is the largest temple of its kind in the People’s Republic of China. It was built in the year 1420 and both the Ming Dynasty and the Qing used for worship by the crops (in spring) and thank heaven for the fruits obtained (autumn). Since the year 1998 is considered as World Heritage of Humanity by Unesco.

Li River Cruise: The landscape is decorated with impressive hills, cliffs, caves and farming villages, and is full of bamboo forests. With its landscapes and the flavor of a life far from the metropolis , the Li river is one of the most important tourist attractions of China.
